Am I a Fashion Fraud?

I sometimes ask myself this question because I do not consider myself a fashionista in any shape or form.  I feel a fashionista is someone who is considered fashionable 24/7, lives and breathes fashion, and knows designers by first and last name...this is not me at all.  I'm not saying all women who are considered fashionistas are dressed in designer labels from head to to toe, but I'm pretty sure they can name top designers faster than I can...I'm just sayin LOL.

When it comes to clothing, shoes, and accessories, I don't care whose name is on the label, just as long as I look great in it.  I don't always effortlessly put outfits together.  I have to actually think about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love fashionable clothing that makes me feel and look great, but I'm the type of person who has to be in the mood to get "dressed up".  Sometimes, I'd rather throw on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and some sneakers and go. I know to some people, that combination can also result in a fashionable outfit, but that's not the way I'm thinking when I go to put it on.  As a blogger who's writing about curvy girl fashion, am I required to ALWAYS look fashionable?  I sometimes wonder...

What are your thoughts?

  1. I feel you honey! I've always felt as though it was my duty to stay current with runway looks and trends and that I MUST look on top of my game at all times. Well, I'm not that type. I, too, like to.throw on jeans and a tee. But I think that's what makes us more relatable. We're not your average $400 shoe wearing fashionistas. Embrace it :)
